The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - Lesson 2

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - Lesson Two

(18-slide PowerPoint-based differentiated lesson with 2 worksheets and answer keys)

This Year 6 lesson covers Chapters 3, 5 and 7 of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time’ by Mark Haddon.

After completing a differentiated Do Now starter activity, children read the chapters indicated and complete a range of activities that test their understanding.

Children then complete a task that asks them to find evidence for a range of different inferences about Christopher’s character.

The lesson concludes with a true or false activity that tests pupils’ recollection of some of the lesson’s key ideas.

Suggested answers are provided for all tasks.
