The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - Lesson 15

(12-slide PowerPoint-based lesson with 2 worksheets)

This differentiated lesson (aimed at high ability Year 6) covers Chapters 167 and 173 of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time’.

The starter activity asks learners to complete a ‘5-a-day’ recall task using their knowledge of the story so far.

Children then read the chapters indicated and complete a range of differentiated activities that test their understanding.

The lesson closes with a brief learning review that asks learners to consider how the author has hinted at (spoiler alert!) Christopher’s father being Wellington’s killer.

Suggested answers are provided for all tasks.
