Year 3 - Number - number and place value
- recognise the place value of each digit in a three-digit number (hundreds, tens, ones)
- identify, represent and estimate numbers using different representations
- read and write numbers up to 1000 in numerals and in words
In this maths teaching resource, pupils are introduced to 3-digit numbers and begin to understand that they are made up of 100s, 10s and 1s. They identify numbers in different representations on a place value chart and write them in numerals. These activities cover the year 3 curriculum
